Trail Description
Note: Large portions of the trail has seen significant fire damage from the 2020 East Troublesome Fire. This west of the Continental Divide trail climbs out of the Kawuneeche Valley before reaching the Big Meadow. The trail circles the meadow and then follows the Tonahutu Creek drainage past Granite Falls before branching off into the remote Haynach basin. The subalpine lakes are surrounded by peaks. Travel 3 miles north of Grand Lake (2.6 miles north of the RMNP Entrance Station) to the Green Mountain Trailhead. |
