Trail Description
Once past Adams Falls, the first half of this hike follows the northern edge of broad lower meadows in the East Inlet valley on fairly level terrain. The trail then gains considerable elevation into the upper valley, through aspen and pines with several locations for good views west toward Grand Lake. Plunge back into the trees, crossing over the East Inlet Cr., and gain more elevation until reaching the lake. Continue another 1.6 miles to Lake Verna. How to Get There
From downtown Grand Lake, go north on Garfield and turn right onto West Portal Rd. Travel about 1.5 miles to the end of the road. |
